CANDLE, UNCAN-Connect, and EU-CIP NCDN Persona Webinar

On March 6th, UNCAN-Connect, CANDLE, and EU-CIP held a joint Persona Workshop with the EU cancer stakeholder community. This session, following the first persona workshop CANDLE held in November, aimed to build another four personas mapped to the functions of the National Cancer Data Nodes and the European Health Data Space context. 45 participants were in attendance, all engaging in meaningful conversations.

The workshop was jointly organized by the UNCAN-Connect, CANDLE, and EU-CIP teams. After the session welcome, Jack Latteur of ECO recapped the four personas that were developed during CANDLE’s last persona workshop. Project coordinators Kadi-Liis Veiman (Estonian Cancer Network), Lifang Liu (Health-RI), and Harald Wagener (BIH-Charite) provided brief introductions to the UNCAN-Connect, CANDLE, and EU-CIP projects, respectively, and their interaction. Carola Schulz of empirica presented the concept of persona activity, the backbone of the day’s meeting.

After the concept introduction, all workshop participants continued the discussion into four breakout rooms, each representing a target persona: Healthcare Providers, moderated by Jack Latteur; NCDN Representative, moderated by Griselda Marku (empirica); Industry, moderated by Carola Schulz (empirica); and Health Data Access Body and Policy Makers, moderated by Linda Abboud (Sciensano). In each breakout room, participants identified the goals, pain points, needs, and skills of each persona, building a comprehensive view of each persona representative.

Thank you to everyone who joined and contributed to the discussion! Keep an eye out when we share more from the meeting’s outcomes.
